Bruce R. Cassidy, M.D. is a Founder of Eyecare Medical Group in Portland where he performs LASIK surgery in Maine for patients from throughout New England. Dr. Cassidy is a well-recognized Maine LASIK Surgeon as he has been performing Laser Vision Correction in Maine for the correction of common eye problems such as nearsightedness or myopia, farsightedness or hyperopia and astigmatism since its approval by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1995. Dr. Cassidy received his Medical Degree from Albany Medical College in New York and completed a Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Rochester. Prior to coming to Maine to practice Ophthalmology in 1977, Dr. Cassidy attended a Fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary of Harvard Medical School in Boston.
