William S. Holt, M.D. is a Founder of Eyecare Medical Group in Portland where he is a Cataract & LASIK Surgeon in Maine. Dr. Holt has been performing Laser Eye Surgery in Maine for the Laser Vision Correction of common eye problems such as nearsightedness or myopia, farsightedness or hyperopia and astigmatism since 1995. He was instrumental in helping to bring Laser Vision Correction to Maine. Dr. Holt is a graduate of Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. He received his Medical Degree from Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts followed by a Residency in Ophthalmology at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston. In addition he served as a Heed Fellow and Research Fellow at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Dr. Holt is certified by and a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He serves as a Trustee of Bates College and the Andover Newton Theological Seminary.
